The international scientific course “MasterCourse in Heart Failure – Baku 2025” was successfully concluded between May 30 and June 1, 2025, at the Baku Marriott Boulevard Hotel. The event was hosted by the Azerbaijan Society of Cardiology in collaboration with the London Heart House and Zurich Heart House.
Dedicated to the latest advancements in heart failure, the course was endorsed by the Heart Failure Association of the European Society of Cardiology and accredited with 23 Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The event brought together over 200 local and international cardiologists and healthcare professionals. Throughout the course, participants explored cutting-edge topics in heart failure diagnosis, treatment, device therapy, imaging, and digital health.
The scientific program featured distinguished experts from the United States, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Germany, Türkiye, and other countries, including Prof. Thomas F. Lüscher, Prof. Mandeep Mehra, Prof. Theresa McDonagh, and others. Their presentations and panel discussions contributed significantly to the high scientific value of the course.
In addition, “hands-on” and simulator sessions—such as right heart catheterization and transesophageal echocardiography—provided practical training opportunities for participants.
The “MasterCourse in Heart Failure – Baku 2025” marked an important milestone in promoting international collaboration, fostering scientific exchange, and showcasing the presence of Azerbaijani cardiology on the global stage.
